{baby's 1st birthday}

We met her 1 year ago...

and we knew that little face was going to melt our hearts...

It has every day since...

And now we get to wake up to this smile every morning...

We are the luckiest family in the world...

Daddy was so sad to miss his baby girl's birthday, so he called first thing in the morning to sing to her...later we went to the zoo and came home to this!

Birthday balloon and card for Maizie...

and flowers for mommy. Pretty sure Marcus has made it his mission in life to make us feel special, and he hasn't missed a chance yet (even thousands of miles away)!

Maizie was excited to see her balloon and just started giggling and grabbing...

Now she giggles at it whenever she sees it...
