If you only knew...

A girl said to me today a somewhat generalized statement about dad's who work full time and go to school and how they come home to kids who don't know who they are. Well, if you saw my 2-year old sitting by the window for an hour waiting for daddy's truck to pull up, then you would know that my husband is the best part of my 2-year old's day. If you saw my baby's little hands rub his daddy's face, you would know that he knows who dad is and how he loves it when he picks him up and sings to him. If you saw my husband hug his kids when he gets home after a 14 hour day, you would know that they are the most important thing in his life and he would rather be taking care of them than anything else in the world. If you could watch my husband wrestle with his kids and let them ride him like a horse after those long days, then it would be obvious he has those two little boys wrapped around his finger for life. If you saw the late nights studying and my husbands tired eyes, you would know that it is because of the deep love he has for his family. If you were the one to answer my sons questions about where his daddy is, then you would know that because my husband is doing what is right for our family, my 2-year old is blessed to have the understanding of why his dad is not home, and simply but cheerfully responds with, "Okay." If you could hear the prayers and blessings my husband frequently offers in our behalf, you would know we are incredibly blessed to have him as a father and husband. If you could see the tears he has shed over his desire to take care of his children, then you would know that having love and compassion come naturally to him. Lastly if you could hear my children laughing with their daddy, then you would know that their love for him his way deeper than we can imagine and they will always look up to him.

We love you Marcus! Thanks for all the hugs and kisses! Can't wait to see you!

Awwwwww....such a sweet post! I've always been really impressed with how good of a daddy Marcus is. He's always been very "hands on" and just as involved in taking care of the kids as you are when he's around. He's sacrificing a lot now so you can have more family time later!
